THE USE OF ENERGY AND INTENTION IN THE DIFFERENT EQUINE DISCIPLINES

disciplinas2

The energy is where the intention is.

If we part from the premise that horses are prey animals who live in herds and who are naturally complacent, we will know that what they look for is to belong to and have a herd.  They will do the impossible in order to please their leader so that they may continue to be under his/her protection and guidance.  Horses communicate in a non-verbal manner, they are patient and calm, and will only do what their leader asks them to do.

Then we will know that horses are never wrong, they do what they are asked.  If they fail to do what is being asked of them, it might be because the command was not clear or specific.  Sometimes, not even the rider is clear on what he/she is asking for, and this is why the required result is not obtained.
